Legal Counsel – Generalist (Berlin)

About the role

Wolt is looking for a proactive Generalist Legal Counsel to join its Berlin legal team. You will support the company’s rapid expansion across Germany and other European markets, focusing on commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director Legal Germany in identifying and managing business risks.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of commercial and operational issues.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for legal queries across multiple functions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements while aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Retail, Sales and other teams to meet their specific legal needs.
• Work closely with international colleagues at DoorDash and Deliveroo to ensure consistency across jurisdictions.
• Contribute to the improvement of legal templates, processes and workflows.
• Support strategic projects, including compliance initiatives, to enable fast business growth.

Required profile

• Legal degree with qualification to practice in Germany or relevant European jurisdiction.
• Experience handling commercial contracts and regulatory matters in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate legal risk into business‑friendly guidance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
