Manufacturing Operations Manager – Semiconductor Production

About the role

Our client, a leading technology company in the semiconductor and sensor sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee production activities across internal teams and external partners in Reutlingen, Germany. The role combines hands‑on operational ownership with people leadership, driving performance in a complex global manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations with external partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive performance across quality, delivery, cost and efficiency metrics.
• Manage material planning and readiness to meet customer demand.
• Support product ramp‑up and high‑volume manufacturing initiatives.
• Oversee assembly and final‑test activities across partner sites.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply‑chain, quality and commercial teams.
• Develop and lead a high‑performing internal team and foster a strong operational culture.
• Implement continuous‑improvement programs for manufacturing and supplier processes.
• Assist in manufacturing transfer and process‑improvement projects as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Deep understanding of end‑to‑end semiconductor production.
• Proven track record managing external manufacturing partners, foundries or OSATs.
• Experience with high‑volume production ramp‑up and assembly/final‑test operations.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership and team‑development skills.
• Strong background in supplier management and performance metrics.
• Exposure to supply‑chain and material‑management processes.
• Fluent in English and German (C1 level or higher).
