Procurement Specialist – Supplier & Category Management

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead supplier interactions, category strategy development, and reporting for a global electronics and e‑mechanics portfolio. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including C‑level executives, to ensure effective preparation and execution of procurement events.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate supplier meetings, fairs (e.g., Electronica, CES), QBRs and special negotiation events up to C‑level.
• Develop and present category strategy decks, align internal and supplier stakeholders, and support global strategy directors.
• Design trackers, scorecards and monthly reports to monitor procurement initiatives and negotiations.
• Perform budget plausibility checks, collaborate with Controlling and ProX, and manage data exchange with ODM/EMS teams.
• Maintain structured SharePoint repositories, meeting notes and documentation for easy team access.
• Participate in improvement projects, change‑management activities and support CMs on process matters.
• Lead or support special projects such as supplier diversification, sustainability workshops, logistics model introductions and supply‑chain resilience initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Management, Materials Management, International Business or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience in a global, multicultural organization.
• Strong communication skills for group and one‑to‑one settings, including senior management.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities with proven stress‑management.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• SharePoint design and maintenance.
