Project Logistics Specialist

About the role

Join a fast‑growing, independent project logistics division of a top‑10 global forwarder. Based in Hamburg, you will manage complex, high‑value cargo that cannot be handled by standard shipping, supporting projects such as gigafactory builds, solar plant shipments and oil & gas infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end transport of heavy EPC, machinery, solar and oil & gas equipment across continents.
• Work with the in‑house chartering desk, legal team and transport engineers to secure suitable vessels and heavy‑lift assets.
• Prepare and negotiate pricing proposals, ensuring profitability for projects ranging from €1 m to €10 m.
• Manage documentation and compliance, including ZUP background checks and customs requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and ensure on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of experience in project logistics, ocean export or heavy‑lift cargo handling.
• Proven ability to handle out‑of‑gauge and oversized shipments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model (2 days remote per week).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Cargowise (training provided).
