Senior Financial Accountant (w/m/d)

About the role

MINTH Group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Munich‑area team. The role focuses on overseeing bookkeeping, month‑end closing, and financial reporting for the German operations while collaborating closely with headquarters in China.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily bookkeeping processes.
• Execute monthly closing activities and prepare finance reports.
• Prepare annual financial statements and support external audits.
• Compile and file monthly VAT returns using DATEV.
• Provide financial analytics for budgeting and management reporting.
• Assist with various financial audits and annual tax filings.
• Coordinate closely with HQ finance in China and other factory finance teams.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training or university degree in business administration or finance.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and financial statement preparation.
• Open‑minded, flexible, highly accurate, and solution‑oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and intercultural awareness; experience with Chinese business culture is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); Chinese language skills are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with the DATEV accounting software.
