Senior Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead all People & Culture matters for our German business (≈380 staff). The role is remote but requires regular visits to sites in Jülich, Goslar and Nuremberg. You will support the transformation of the newly merged Propelis group and help shape HR strategy across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle for the German business, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and off‑boarding.
• Manage restructuring and organisational change initiatives, draft social plans and negotiate reconciliation‑of‑interest agreements.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with German labour law.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for labour‑relations issues, lead negotiations with works councils and advise leadership on collective agreements and co‑determination.
• Represent the company in conciliation board and labour court proceedings when required.
• Provide guidance on employment law, disciplinary actions, severance procedures and employee relations.
• Deliver training and coaching to HR colleagues and business leaders on labour‑law topics.

Required profile

• Several years of HR generalist experience in a fast‑paced mid‑size or large global organisation.
• Proven track record managing change, restructuring and complex employee‑relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of German labour law, collective bargaining and co‑determination practices.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build trusted partnerships with works councils.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of German employment legislation.
• Experience with collective agreement interpretation and implementation.
• Competence in handling labour‑court and conciliation board procedures.
