Senior IT Security Consultant – ISMS Specialist

About the role

NAXCON GmbH is seeking a Senior IT Security Consultant to support public authorities in Rhineland‑Palatinate with the design and standardisation of IT‑security concepts. The role focuses on applying the BSI IT‑Grundschutz framework and managing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) using specialised tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document IT‑security concepts in line with BSI IT‑Grundschutz standards.
• Configure and operate the state‑provided ISMS tool (Fuentis AG) and, where required, alternative BSI‑approved tools.
• Standardise security and emergency concepts for authorities, ensuring flexibility for infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with security officers to integrate ISMS data and maintain compliance across existing and new networks.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience with IT‑Grundschutz implementation.
• Strong knowledge of ISMS processes and BSI requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a mostly remote environment.
• Senior‑level expertise (Skill Level B) in technical consulting.
