Senior Legal Counsel – Antitrust & Trade Law

About the role

Delivery Hero is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Antitrust and Trade Law team. You will support the company’s global competition and trade law matters across more than 70 jurisdictions, playing a key role in M&A transactions, investigations, and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee competition law issues worldwide, including merger control, antitrust investigations, and commercial agreements.
• Provide pragmatic advice on structuring and risk assessment for M&A transactions, manage multi‑jurisdictional filing processes, and support post‑merger integration.
• Lead antitrust investigations, develop strategies, and keep senior management informed.
• Guide local legal teams on competition law matters and establish best‑practice guidelines.
• Advise on international trade law, focusing on EU and US sanctions risk mitigation.
• Design and deliver training sessions for stakeholders across the group.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of post‑qualification experience in reputable international law firms or in‑house legal teams.
• Strong expertise in EU competition law, including merger control, vertical restraints, antitrust investigations, and platform regulation.
• Experience with antitrust frameworks in multiple global jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with foreign direct investment regimes, foreign subsidies regulations, and US/EU export control and sanctions laws.
