Talent Acquisition Lead – Recruiter (Germany & Europe)

About the role

We are a global retail leader seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to own end‑to‑end recruitment for the German market while supporting Europe‑wide talent initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, elevate the candidate experience, and help shape best practices across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for corporate, retail and operational roles across Germany.
• Partner with hiring managers to define needs and design effective sourcing strategies.
• Execute proactive sourcing techniques such as talent mapping, market research and direct search.
• Conduct interviews and assessments, ensuring consistent evaluation and a positive candidate experience.
• Drive employer branding initiatives tailored to the German talent market.
• Collaborate with HR and TA teams across Europe on talent pipelines, market intelligence, EVP and DE&I projects.
• Provide recruitment insights, talent analytics and market trends to senior leaders.
• Manage external partners including agencies, job boards and assessment providers.
• Champion data‑driven recruitment decisions, process optimization and compliance with local labor laws and GDPR.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on recruitment experience, preferably in a global, high‑volume or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of the German labour market and recruitment trends.
• Experience working on international or multi‑country talent projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Experience using sourcing platforms.
• Ability to work with HR analytics tools.
