Country Director – Germany (1‑year Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Fastned is a leading fast‑charging network in Europe. As interim Country Director for Germany, you will lead market expansion and operational excellence for a one‑year fixed‑term, reporting directly to the COO and working from the Cologne office at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Accelerate network deployment across Germany by removing bottlenecks and ensuring strategic scaling.
• Partner with the Country Execution Lead to drive cross‑functional collaboration and deliver high‑potential locations on schedule.
• Champion a world‑class customer experience by maintaining high‑uptime stations that exceed performance standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations with a focus on agility and continuous workflow improvement.
• Elevate commercial performance by collaborating with commercial teams to drive revenue, customer growth, brand visibility and local marketing.
• Identify partnership opportunities and strategic initiatives to maximise market share and profitability.
• Scale B2B and B2C offerings while optimising pricing, business models and financial health.
• Represent Fastned Germany internally and, when required, externally.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in the electric‑vehicle, charging infrastructure or related fast‑growth sector.
• Track record of successful market expansion and operational scaling.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive revenue and profitability.
• Excellent cross‑functional team management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
