Software Engineer – Backend (Java/Spring Boot)

About the role

Join JD.com’s global technology team as a Software Engineer focused on building and scaling the backend systems for Joybuy, the company’s international e‑commerce platform. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance, secure, and reliable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Joybuy’s backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure system performance, availability, concurrency, security, and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, implementing monitoring, maintainability, and rollback capabilities.
• Research, adopt, and promote new technologies and methodologies.
• Explore integration opportunities between emerging technologies and global system architectures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Java programming and Spring Boot.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a passion for clean, elegant code.
• Proactive, fast learner, and highly collaborative.
• Effective communication skills in both Chinese and English.
