Account Manager – French Market

About the role

As an Account Manager for the French market, you will build and nurture long‑term partnerships with merchants on idealo. You will advise them on how to grow their performance and revenue, while managing the inventory and assortment available to end customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with French‑market merchants.
  • Monitor merchant assortment and performance, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations and action plans.
  • Promote and sell Retail Media solutions in a consultative, value‑oriented manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Partner Management, Retail Media, Product and Analytics to improve partner outcomes.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and category developments.

Required profile

  • 3‑4 years of experience in account management, partner management, sales or a comparable commercial role, preferably in e‑commerce, online marketplaces, retail media or digital advertising for the French market.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Commercially driven, able to spot upselling and growth opportunities.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, performance data and business KPIs.
  • Fluent in French (C2) and English; German is a plus.

Required skills

  • Experience with a CRM system, specifically Salesforce.
