Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are a boutique global financial consulting firm seeking a UK or Germany‑based Accountant to join our Finance team. You will help maintain and develop our accounting and financial reporting framework while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and development of accounting policies, procedures, and related processes.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and contribute to group consolidation.
• Implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls within the financial reporting framework.
• Monitor financial risks, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate statutory filings, tax submissions, and audit activities.
• Manage relationships with external service providers and support internal finance communication.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with auditing and tax‑related legal requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and strong organisational skills.
