Associate Engineer – Development Consumables

About the role

Getinge is looking for a self‑driven, open‑minded Associate Engineer to join the R&D team in Munich. You will contribute to the design, development and care of sterile single‑use sensor systems used in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement new single‑use medical device sensor systems.
• Drive product‑care projects, including design changes to improve existing devices.
• Apply lean, agile and visual methodologies within a self‑organising team.
• Act as a technical expert in consumable design areas such as CAD and material selection.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to performance, production processes and equipment.
• Coordinate design transfer activities with suppliers and contract manufacturers up to serial production release.
• Perform development and verification tests in internal labs or with external partners.
• Prepare technical documentation (DHF/DMR), risk analyses and product specifications.

• Strong communication with internal departments (Quality, Regulatory, Product Management, Operations) and external partners.
