Business & Finance Controller

About the role

Unicorn is looking for a Business & Finance Controller to own the numbers across five European markets. You will protect cash, ensure accurate reporting and act as a commercial partner to the Country General Managers, helping the CEO make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly close and consolidation for Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and Sweden.
• Prepare and analyse country‑level P&L, margins, labour ratios and KPIs.
• Maintain a rolling 13‑week and 12‑month cash‑flow forecast and flag liquidity risks.
• Manage accounts receivable ageing, DSO and overdue account escalation.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in collaboration with Country GMs.
• Provide commercial insight on gross margin, cost‑per‑room and unit economics.
• Implement approval matrices, accounting policies (local GAAP/IFRS) and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for statutory filings.
• Work within and improve the existing lightweight finance reporting stack.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of finance experience with multi‑entity and consolidation exposure.
• Hands‑on experience in cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements.
