CAD Design Engineer – Aerospace Vehicle

About the role

We are looking for a talented CAD Design Engineer to create and refine the physical architecture of Nyx, our modular reusable space vehicle. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the spacecraft’s structure meets mission requirements and manufacturing constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Build CAD physical models of the vehicle and subsystems using Siemens NX or equivalent.
• Lead design of aerospace components and systems, adjusting architecture, accommodation, materials, and thicknesses based on thermo‑mechanical analyses.
• Collaborate with thermal, structural, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with mission environments and production limits.
• Maintain configuration management of CAD models and manage the vehicle structure mass budget.
• Participate in co‑engineering sessions with mission analysis, propulsion, avionics, GNC, and system engineers.
• Define volume allocations and clearance specifications for subsystems.
• Contribute to improvement of CAD tools and processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and present data in reviews.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a CAD Design Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace vehicle design, materials, manufacturing processes and industry standards.
• Experience with Siemens NX or comparable CAD software.
• Fluent in English; German and French are assets.
