Central Production Planner – Global Manufacturing

About the role

RIMOWA is seeking a Central Production Planner to coordinate and optimise production activities across its worldwide factories. You will align production needs with sales forecasts, inventory levels and coverage targets, ensuring a smooth flow from planning to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure production requirements match inventory, demand forecasts and coverage objectives, focusing on permanent suitcase references.
• Update and enhance the Production Data Plan (PDP) by correcting data, refreshing files and proposing process improvements.
• Participate in capacity definition discussions with factory supply‑chain teams and adjust post‑S&OP capacity based on the latest forecasts.
• Run macro‑level production simulations, adapt the production mix for the permanent assortment, and respect factory constraints.
• Monitor weekly performance against factory capacity, lead weekly meetings with factories in Germany, Canada and the Czech Republic, and communicate blocking points to the central team.
• Develop production KPIs (e.g., Production Adherence) and implement a weekly routine for PDP updates across all factories.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, business or a related field, preferably with a supply‑chain focus.
• At least 3 years of experience in production planning within an international manufacturing environment.
• Strong collaborative and negotiation abilities to work with procurement, production and other cross‑functional teams.
• Highly organised, proactive and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to solve complex problems and interpret large data sets.
