Innovation Project Manager – Product Development

About the role

RIMOWA is seeking an Innovation Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of new product concepts and manufacturing methods. Reporting to the Head of Innovation, you will bridge ideation and execution, ensuring that innovative ideas become high‑quality, market‑ready products.

Key responsibilities

• Research, define and develop new product concepts, functionalities and processes.
• Assess concepts for ergonomics, usability, customer benefit and environmental impact.
• Monitor and report innovation KPIs, project progress and technical feasibility.
• Analyse technical and cost proposals, conduct make‑or‑buy assessments and select optimal materials, technologies and suppliers.
• Prepare technical documentation, CAD models, mock‑ups and test jigs; collect and interpret prototype test data.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Innovation, Product, Development, Homologation, Industrial) and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate technical and cost proposals.
• Proactive attitude, capable of proposing new ideas and driving fast decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills to align cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• CAD modeling and design documentation.
