Commercial Manager – Cereals, Nuts & Pulses

About the role

Döhler is seeking a Commercial Manager for its Business Unit Cereals, Nuts & Pulses. You will lead pricing governance and trading activities, turning market insights into actionable pricing strategies while ensuring margin optimization and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement product‑specific pricing strategies, price corridors, discount policies and approval thresholds.
• Analyze prices and margins, translate insights into actions, and protect or expand contribution margins.
• Apply product costing guidelines, including open‑book costing for key accounts and special costings for traded goods.
• Monitor commodity markets and competitors to ensure timely price adjustments across regions.
• Use digital tools to manage quotation approvals and maintain strong pricing governance.
• Drive value‑based pricing in commercialization decisions and customer negotiations.
• Steer margin structures by product group and collaborate with Product Management on portfolio profitability.
• Support trading activities by negotiating commercial terms, managing exposure with Procurement and Supply Chain, and ensuring contract compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5+ years of experience in B2B pricing, trading, sales or controlling.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical mindset, commercial orientation and proven stakeholder communication skills.
