Commercial Manager – Pricing & Trading for Cereals, Nuts & Pulses

About the role

You will lead pricing governance and trading activities for the Cereal, Nuts & Pulses portfolio, defining pricing strategies, translating market insights into action, and optimizing margins across product groups. The role ensures data‑driven, compliant decisions that align with Döhler standards and support global commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Implement product‑specific pricing strategies, set price corridors, discount policies and approval thresholds.
• Analyse prices and margins, turn insights into concrete actions, and protect or expand contribution margins.
• Apply product costing guidelines, including open‑book costing for key accounts, and prepare special costings for traded goods and inter‑company pricing.
• Monitor commodity markets and competitors to ensure timely price adjustments across regions.
• Leverage digital tools to manage quotation approvals and enforce strong pricing governance.
• Drive value‑based pricing in commercialization decisions and customer negotiations.
• Steer margin structures by product group and collaborate with Product Management to optimise the portfolio.
• Support trading activities by negotiating commercial terms, managing exposure with Procurement and Supply Chain, and ensuring contract compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5+ years of experience in B2B pricing, trading, sales or controlling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial mindset and proven ability to influence cross‑functional decisions.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to thrive in international, fast‑paced teams.
