Data Engineer

About the role

AI Futures is seeking a Data Engineer to join its fast‑growing team in Düsseldorf. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, data infrastructure, and AI‑driven solutions in a greenfield environment with no legacy constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into structured data models and assess source data quality.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using low‑code tools (e.g., RapidMiner) and high‑code languages (e.g., Python).
• Conduct hands‑on data analysis, uncover patterns, and build forecasting or machine‑learning models when relevant.
• Create dashboards and internal tools to support data‑driven decision‑making across teams.
• Collaborate with external developers to scale and operationalise data pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience building data pipelines within modern data stacks such as data lakes and SQL‑based architectures.
• Professional‑level German language skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert business needs into technical solutions.
