Electronics Engineer – Electronic Warfare

About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer specialized in Electronic Warfare to join STARK’s R&D team in Berlin. You will own the design, development, integration and testing of advanced RF hardware for autonomous defence platforms, ensuring peak performance in contested electromagnetic environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end board design using Altium Designer, applying High‑Density Interconnect (HDI) techniques and routing high‑frequency interfaces.
• Design, simulate and implement custom RF components and matching networks tailored for contested environments.
• Conduct antenna design and placement simulations with CST Studio Suite and Altair FEKO to optimise system‑level RF performance.
• Manage mechanical packaging and electro‑mechanical design of boards, collaborating with software and systems teams.
• Define and execute testing, debugging and validation protocols to guarantee system stability and survivability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electronic, RF or hardware systems development.
• Hands‑on experience with Altium Designer, HDI board design and high‑speed/high‑frequency signal integrity.
• Proficiency in designing matching networks and using CST Studio Suite and/or Altair FEKO for antenna optimisation.
• Strong understanding of how RF and electronic components affect overall system architecture.
• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Self‑starter attitude thriving in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment.
