Senior Waveform Architect – Autonomous Systems

About the role

STARK is building next‑generation autonomous platforms for contested environments. As a Senior Waveform Architect you will own the complete design, development and real‑time implementation of the tactical anti‑jam radio waveform, ensuring robust communication under severe electronic countermeasure conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and implementation of the physical layer (PHY) – waveform, modulation, coding, framing and synchronization – from concept to FPGA/SoC deployment.
• Engineer solutions for extreme jamming scenarios and multi‑node long‑range link budgets.
• Define and maintain PHY specifications, exposing IQ, phase and timing observables for Direction Finding (DF) integration.
• Establish development guidelines, HDL and verification conventions, and FPGA build flows for the strand.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing a PHY and delivering it on FPGA/SoC hardware in real time.
• Strong quantitative skills in synchronization, estimation, forward error correction (FEC) and link‑budget analysis.
• Hands‑on debugging of real radio links against physical hardware.
