About the role
Join Hypersonica to drive Europe’s hypersonic defence capabilities. You will identify and develop high‑value opportunities, working closely with military customers, programme teams and technology partners to shape the future of hypersonic systems.
Key responsibilities
- Generate and capture hypersonic defence opportunities by understanding user pain points, operational constraints and long‑term capability roadmaps.
- Lead continuous engagement with military customers, programme teams and capability developers, building trust through operational credibility and technical insight.
- Shape and execute growth strategies aligned with evolving defence priorities, threat environments and competitive dynamics.
- Translate mission problems and user feedback into clear product direction, informing internal prioritisation and capability trade‑offs.
- Maintain situational awareness of competitor activity, allied developments and emerging concepts of operation.
- Manage long‑cycle opportunity development from concept through assessment to programme formation.
- Build and maintain B2B partnerships with primes, subsystem suppliers and technology partners.
- Articulate Hypersonica’s value proposition to senior operators, programme managers and industry partners.
- Support senior‑level briefings, demonstrations and customer engagements with technical substance.
- Act as the internal voice of the customer to ensure solutions remain operationally relevant and differentiated.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 years of business development experience in military or defence‑industry environments.
- Credibility with military users and programme teams, gained through prior service or sustained industry‑facing roles.
- Comfort engaging in complex, technical capability discussions beyond commercial terms.
- Proven ability to navigate long‑cycle, high‑ambiguity defence opportunities.
