Expert Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Q ENERGY is seeking a motivated Expert Finance – Accounting professional to join its Consolidation & Treasury team in Berlin. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and the continuous improvement of finance processes within a fast‑growing renewable‑energy company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end preparation and finalisation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under German HGB and IFRS.
• Oversee tax compliance (VAT, corporate, trade) and act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax authorities.
• Drive process optimisation, automation and digitalisation in SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Fast Close and internal controls (ICS/GoBD).
• Manage general ledger, complex banking activities and cross‑border inter‑company reconciliations.
• Provide strategic advisory on German GAAP and IFRS, researching evolving accounting regulations.

Required profile

• Professional expertise in German HGB and IFRS.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and advanced CO modules.
• Proficiency in Fast Close, ICS and GoBD compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and audit compliance background.
• C1+ proficiency in German and English.

• Annual base salary starting at €59,000 gross.
