Flight Test Intern / Working Student

About the role

As a Flight Test Intern / Working Student you will support the execution of flight test campaigns for military‑grade UAV platforms, acting as the hands‑on link between engineering design and real‑world flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support during field campaigns, including aircraft assembly, battery management and ground control station setup.
• Prepare and verify test‑specific equipment such as sensors, payloads and hardware versions in collaboration with Flight Test Engineers.
• Support ground‑based validation, HIL/SIL environments and troubleshooting of hardware.
• Assist the Pilot‑in‑Command and Flight Test Engineers with pre‑flight walk‑arounds, flight‑line safety and airspace observation.
• Help integrate, troubleshoot and maintain UAV avionics, communication links and documentation such as flight logs and anomaly reports.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or between a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Or a strong technical/vocational background (e.g., aircraft mechanics, electronics, high‑end RC modelling) with interest in UAV flight testing.
• Hands‑on aptitude with tools and hardware, and curiosity about how UAV systems are built and operate.
