Founding Talent Lead (m/f/x)

About the role

We’re Cortea, a Berlin startup transforming audits with AI. As Founding Talent Lead you will build talent foundations, design hiring processes and shape our culture across tech and non‑tech teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Talent end‑to‑end: job design, scope, JD, sourcing, structured interviews, offer and close.
• Build a Talent Engine to attract great people proactively, both inbound and outbound.
• Raise the hiring bar with scorecards, trained interviewers and a consistent candidate experience.
• Shape our brand for Tech/AI talent through content, events and a strong referral loop.
• Be culture‑positive: partner with founders on rituals, onboarding handover and feedback loops.

Required profile

• 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in a fast‑moving environment (startup/scale‑up or agency).
• Proven track record hiring top talent and assessing candidates effectively.
• Clear communication, ability to leverage the founding team and make data‑driven decisions quickly.
• Demonstrated early‑stage recruitment successes you’re proud of.
• Systems thinking and data‑focused improvement; bonus for employer branding experience for engineers/AI.
