Frontline Process Engineer (m/f/x)

About the role

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is seeking a Frontline Process Engineer to work in the cleanroom on deep‑ultraviolet (DUV) lithography equipment. The role focuses on analysing and optimising manufacturing processes to support high‑volume production of advanced microchips.

Key responsibilities

• Operate directly in the cleanroom on DUV technology and monitor production runs.
• Analyse existing manufacturing processes using observations, experiments and metrics.
• Implement improvement measures targeting time, cost and quality.
• Take technical responsibility for a complete value‑stream segment and drive production ramp‑ups in close collaboration with R&D.
• Evaluate technology performance and manage customer complaints.

Required profile

• University degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable STEM field with very good results.
• Several years of experience in evaluating, analysing and optimising complex manufacturing processes.
• Proven use of structured problem‑solving methods such as 8D, PDCA and Six Sigma.
• Strong team spirit, willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and fluency in German with good English skills.
