German‑Speaking Procurement Officer

About the role

As part of the centralised JPC Procurement Department, the German‑speaking Procurement Officer will manage procurement activities for all German operations, supporting construction projects and indirect spend. The role works closely with German suppliers and the central team in Ireland, requiring fluency in German and English.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders for construction materials and services using Business Central ERP.
• Communicate with German suppliers to confirm orders, negotiate delivery schedules and resolve minor issues.
• Assist in preparing RFQs and organising tender documents for German projects.
• Monitor delivery timelines and coordinate with site teams to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, supplier files and invoices in line with company policies and German compliance.
• Support cost tracking, verify supplier invoices and assist Accounts Payable with disputed invoices.
• Prepare procurement status reports and keep trackers up‑to‑date for German activity.
• Act as the primary procurement contact for Germany, aligning with central procurement strategy.

Required profile

• Degree or vocational qualification in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience (or internship) in procurement, construction or a related industry.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes, construction materials and supplier management.
• Fluent German (native or near‑native) and strong English communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
