Head of Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a growing pharmaceutical organization. The role will shape strategy, drive operational excellence and ensure compliant, cost‑effective product availability across Germany, Europe and global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Lead transformation and continuous improvement of processes, systems and capabilities.
• Oversee demand forecasting, S&OP, inventory optimization and ensure uninterrupted product supply.
• Manage procurement, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, negotiating contracts for cost efficiency and security.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, CMOs and external partners to optimize production planning and capacity utilization.
• Ensure efficient warehousing, transportation, import/export and distribution while maintaining GDP compliance.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to improve service levels, operational efficiency and cost performance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of supply chain management experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven strategic leadership and ability to drive large‑scale transformation.
• Strong risk‑management, scenario‑planning and business‑continuity expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, commercial and finance functions.
