Junior Bank Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

This position offers an early‑career finance professional the chance to develop expertise in bank reconciliation within a dynamic, international environment. You will support the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple entities and currencies, working closely with accounting, treasury and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for several entities, ensuring records are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Match bank transactions to general‑ledger entries and investigate discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Maintain detailed reconciliation records, supporting documentation and escalation logs in line with internal controls.
• Process and correctly code banking transactions, including multi‑currency and intercompany transfers.
• Prepare reconciliation summaries, reports and supporting schedules for senior finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasury and other finance teams to clarify payment details and resolve transaction issues.
• Escalate unusual or unresolved items and support follow‑up through completion.
• Contribute to month‑end closing activities, including bank statement retrieval and documentation sign‑offs.
• Assist in improving reconciliation procedures, documentation and standard operating practices.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations or a related financial role.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of financial data accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyse data and propose practical solutions.

Required skills

• Practical experience with Xero or a similar cloud‑based accounting software.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and advanced formulas.
