Junior Designer – Runway Menswear

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Designer to support the Runway Menswear line at HUGO BOSS. The role will be based in Metzingen and offers a two‑year fixed‑term contract within a fast‑paced, international design environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in research and development for the menswear collection based on creative briefs.
• Create sketches, mood boards and visual concepts for runway and special projects.
• Support the end‑to‑end development process, from hand‑over of sketches and fabrics to participation in fittings.
• Coordinate with Concept Design, Graphic Design, Brand Management, Fabric Management, Pattern and Technical Product Development.
• Manage assigned tasks, prepare milestone meetings and conduct trend, innovation and competitor research.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contemporary fashion, runway trends and cultural references.
• Creative mindset with excellent visual communication, both digital and hand‑sketching.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English with strong attention to detail in fittings and materials.
• First professional experience in menswear design (internship or junior role) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with CLO 3D.
• Familiarity with AI‑based design tools and SAP/PLM systems.
