Packaging Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Packaging Engineer you will ensure our food packaging meets the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability. You will own packaging data, support development projects and work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative, cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable packaging solutions across the product portfolio.
• Maintain and quality‑check packaging specifications, master data and reporting.
• Lead compliance audits and ensure adherence to PPWR, SUP and EPR regulations.
• Track key packaging KPIs and drive continuous performance improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimise material efficiency and cost.

Required profile

• 3+ years of packaging engineering experience in the food industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, sustainability trends and regulatory requirements.
• Proven project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
