PDU Systems Designer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a PDU Systems Designer to join Würth Elektronik’s ICS division in Munich/Waldzimmern. You will design electromechanical PCB‑based power distribution units for off‑highway, commercial vehicles and e‑mobility applications, ensuring safe, intelligent and efficient energy flow.

Key responsibilities

• Design electromechanical PCB‑based PDU systems for off‑highway, commercial and e‑mobility vehicles.
• Create schematics of customer systems using ECAD tools.
• Develop concepts and component placements with Altium Designer.
• Perform high‑current layout routing, generate documentation and conduct design reviews.
• Collaborate with project engineering, mechanical and production teams to develop new design solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with PCB design experience.
• Knowledge of current distribution and thermal management techniques.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or other ECAD software.
• Good German and very good English communication skills.
• Technically strong, organized and dedicated work approach.
