Product Design Engineer – German (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a creative Product Design Engineer with fluent German skills to join our High Voltage Connector team. You will apply fundamental engineering principles and advanced design tools to develop high‑performance products from concept through high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Support concept development ensuring manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness and customer compliance.
• Conduct DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis and other analytical studies under senior guidance.
• Create and maintain product models and detailed drawings using GD&T.
• Document project scope, requirements, feasibility and engineering work plans.
• Develop test plans (DVP&R), perform DOE, hypothesis testing and capability studies, and analyse results statistically.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Why and Fishbone diagrams.
• Select appropriate materials for plastic injection‑molded and metal‑stamped components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in product design and associated workflows.
• Proven use of analytical studies (FEA, tolerance stacks, DFMEA) within product development.
• Solid knowledge of validation plans and test‑result analysis to meet performance targets.
• Ability to apply structured problem‑solving methods to systematic engineering challenges.
