Project Director – Solar PV & Agri‑PV Projects

About the role

Gülermak Renewables is building its Germany team from the ground up and seeks an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a solar agri‑PV project in Mecklenburg‑Vorpommern. You will oversee the project from pre‑construction through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring alignment with health, safety, environmental (HSE) standards and German regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the solar PV project within agreed HSE objectives, timeline, budget and quality standards.
• Implement company HSE policies and ensure compliance with German and EU statutory requirements.
• Manage the project end‑to‑end, from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Own Gülermak Renewables’ project management processes and report to steering committees.
• Coordinate DNO and TNO connection works and align programme interfaces.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, landowners, suppliers, engineers, legal advisors and subcontractors.
• Proactively identify, allocate and control project risks and opportunities, applying mitigation measures.
• Capture cost efficiencies during pre‑construction without compromising scope.
• Oversee project handover to the Asset Management function and ensure efficient close‑out.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Project Manager/Director for grid‑scale renewable energy construction projects.
• Experience across multiple disciplines, contracts and procurement models.
• Strong HSE focus with experience managing German and EU HSE regulations.
• Ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
