React/TS Software Engineer - Frontend

About the role

Cardmarket is looking for a dedicated Frontend Engineer to build and maintain modern web features using React and TypeScript. You will work closely with a cross‑functional team to deliver responsive, user‑friendly interfaces that enhance the overall experience of our marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full application lifecycle of Cardmarket’s web family.
• Design, develop and implement new modules and features using React and TypeScript.
• Maintain and improve existing components, ensuring code quality and performance.
• Create responsive UI that follows UX/UI best practices.
• Contribute to team processes through retrospectives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree, vocational training, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Solid grasp of modern React concepts (hooks, component composition, state management, performance).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
• Presence in Berlin with a valid German work permit.
