Senior Cost Manager – Frankfurt, Germany

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join a fast‑growing, international consultancy delivering complex data‑centre projects across Germany and Austria. You will work on large‑scale, mission‑critical developments, providing commercial advice and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project costs throughout the full lifecycle, from feasibility to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and commercial reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Lead procurement and tendering processes, including contractor negotiations and bid evaluations.
• Provide commercial and strategic advice, identifying risks, opportunities and value‑engineering solutions.
• Monitor project expenditure, forecast costs and manage change‑control processes.
• Support contract administration and ensure commercial compliance during delivery.
• Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of technically complex data‑centre projects in live or critical environments.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Strong experience on construction projects in Germany; German project experience is essential.
• Good understanding of German construction contracts, procurement processes and commercial management practices.
• Confident communicator able to engage with clients and provide solution‑focused advice.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work in a fast‑paced delivery environment.
• Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
• Fluent English; German language skills advantageous but not mandatory.
• Must be living in, or eligible to work in, Germany.
