Senior Electronics Engineer – Electronic Warfare

About the role

STARK is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and deployment of mission‑critical electronic warfare hardware. You will act as the technical authority for RF and high‑density interconnect systems, guiding projects from concept through field validation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end PCB design using Altium Designer, establishing HDI, stack‑up, and high‑frequency routing standards.
• Design, simulate, and implement custom RF components, matching networks, and signal‑conditioning chains for contested environments.
• Perform antenna design and placement simulations with CST Studio Suite and Altair FEKO to optimise platform‑level RF performance.
• Drive mechanical packaging and electro‑mechanical integration, collaborating with software, firmware and mechanical teams.
• Establish testing, debugging and validation frameworks to ensure hardware survivability against defence and environmental standards.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, review designs and contribute to long‑term hardware roadmaps.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in electronic, RF or hardware systems development.
• Proven track record delivering complex high‑speed, high‑frequency PCBs to production.
• Strong expertise in RF circuit design, matching network optimisation and electromagnetic simulation.
• Ability to define multi‑layer hardware architectures from operational requirements.
