Senior Group Accountant (m/f/d) – Consolidations & IFRS

About the role

As a Senior Group Accountant you will join the Group Accounting team of a leading international mid‑size group. You will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and supporting subsidiaries on accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and IFRS notes.
• Execute intercompany reconciliations and manage the consolidation process using Cognos Controller.
• Support subsidiaries with business management and accounting issues.
• Participate in acquisitions, first‑time consolidations, purchase price allocations and post‑merger integrations.
• Develop and maintain accounting guidelines and the consolidation software.
• Contribute to projects such as ESEF reporting, CBCR reporting and the implementation of a Disclosure Management System.
• Assist in the budget process, corporate planning, and the preparation of management reports for the Board.
• Support ICT and finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, auditing or finance consulting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work with various management levels.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
• Flexibility and strong team spirit.
