Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centers (Hybrid, Frankfurt)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems for medium to large‑scale data centre projects. Based in Frankfurt and operating in a hybrid model, you will work within an international, multidisciplinary team to create sustainable, high‑performance infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC, cooling, fire safety, and diesel supply systems for data centres.
• Manage project deliverables from concept through construction supervision and handover.
• Prepare and review technical design documents and drawings.
• Present technical concepts to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers, and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of mechanical system design experience in industrial or mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of German building codes and Tier Level design standards (Uptime Institute, TÜV).
• Fluent English; German proficiency strongly preferred.
• Organised, self‑directed and able to manage budgets and deadlines.
