Senior Relationship Manager – Payments & Fintech

About the role

This senior‑level position is based in Germany and focuses on managing and expanding relationships with high‑value merchants in the payments and fintech ecosystem. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients reduce chargebacks, optimise dispute processes and improve overall payment performance through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow Tier 1 and high‑value client relationships, ensuring long‑term satisfaction and retention.
• Lead client onboarding and coordinate with internal teams for smooth implementation and successful go‑live.
• Analyse client performance data and recommend tailored solutions to reduce chargebacks and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams to support integrations and resolve complex client challenges.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities to drive additional revenue within existing accounts.
• Lead strategic discussions with client stakeholders and serve as the voice of the client internally.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relationship‑management or sales experience in payments, cards or fintech.
• Proven success managing Tier 1 or enterprise‑level clients with measurable retention and growth.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including experience with senior decision‑makers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
