Senior Sales Manager – Integrated Air & Missile Defence (Germany)

About the role

The Senior Sales Manager for Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) will lead sales campaigns across Germany for Airbus Defence and Space. Based at one of our German locations (Ottobrunn, Ulm or Friedrichshafen), you will work closely with Regional Sales and programme leads to secure profitable contracts and strengthen our market position.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute sales strategies for IAMD programmes in alignment with regional and programme objectives.
• Manage the commercial aspects of deals, including cost, risk and benefit analysis, and lead negotiations using market and competitor intelligence.
• Achieve planned order intake in line with technical and economic targets.
• Expand Airbus Defence Digital’s footprint with the German Air Force and Ministry of Defence, maintaining continuous engagement with industrial partners and associations.
• Ensure compliance with Airbus values and internal policies throughout the sales process.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or business development within the defence or aerospace sector.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to evaluate complex contracts.
• Excellent understanding of the German defence market, including relationships with the Air Force and MoD.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional sales teams and programme managers.
