Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Berlin

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer to join our platform team in Berlin. You will help build reliable, secure, and cost‑effective systems that enhance our customers' experience while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business‑intelligence‑friendly infrastructure with minimal drift.
• Support engineering teams by automating application lifecycles and designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure comprehensive monitoring of systems and components.
• Analyse and resolve production incidents, work closely with customer support, and write post‑mortems.
• Write scripts to automate day‑to‑day tasks and reduce toil.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation with other engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Packer).
• Deep knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and Linux systems.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Nagios, checkmk, New Relic, Grafana, Loki, or ELK Stack.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and a strong ownership mindset.
• Kubernetes experience is a plus; familiarity with Node.js, Go, or Python is a big plus.
