Senior Software Engineer

About the role

GROPYUS is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Product Delivery team at the manufacturing site in Richen, Germany. You will help turn digital models into physical building components by integrating PLCs, robots and third‑party systems and ensuring reliable operation of the software that drives the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and operate software solutions for logistics and manufacturing, including robots, AGVs and other automated equipment.
• Manage deployments in a hybrid cloud‑on‑premise environment, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Apply a software‑operations mindset to monitor uptime, perform updates and optimise latency and efficiency.
• Leverage PLC and robot programming expertise to evolve the platform toward a fully software‑defined manufacturing process.
• Act as the bridge between digital product delivery and physical logistics/manufacturing systems, aligning both domains.
• Define, monitor and improve SLAs, SLOs and KPIs such as OEE for critical production systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software engineer, preferably in manufacturing, logistics or smart‑factory environments.
• Hands‑on background with PLCs, robot programming or large‑scale software operations.
• Experience working in organisations with strong operational cultures and an understanding of the commercial impact of system downtime.
• Willingness to travel to the Richen site as needed.
