Senior Software Engineer – SAP Fullstack (Remote, Germany)

About the role

Serrala is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Fullstack Engineer team. You will own end‑to‑end features of our payment and finance automation platform, shaping the architecture and quality standards while working remotely from Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and roll out features from RAP business objects through CDS models, OData services, to SAPUI5 Freestyle screens.
• Drive technical design, create architecture decision records, and align with product owners and architects.
• Enforce SAP Clean Core principles across all production code.
• Leverage AI‑augmented tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation, raising team AI maturity.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and mentor junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Collaborate in small, autonomous product teams in an asynchronous, outcome‑driven environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP‑OO, OData, and REST.
• Hands‑on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), including behavior definitions, draft handling, determinations, validations, and actions.
• Proven track record of delivering RAP‑based applications to production.
• Deep knowledge of CDS Views, business objects, and OData V2/V4 service bindings.
• Solid experience with SAPUI5 Freestyle development and extending Fiori Elements apps.
• Fluent English (C1); German is a plus.
