Senior Staff Financial Analyst – Europe

About the role

The Senior Staff Financial Analyst will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting and reporting for Renesas Electronics across Europe. This position is responsible for statutory accounting, period‑end closing, and coordination with internal and external finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure accurate statutory accounting.
• Coordinate external audits, respond to audit requests and close audit findings promptly.
• Serve as the primary finance contact for banks, tax authorities and external advisors.
• Monitor balance‑sheet accounts, perform regular reconciliations and support internal controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation and harmonisation of accounting across European entities.
• Support finance transformation, system enhancements and SAP‑related projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls where applicable and audit requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Several years of experience in financial accounting, controlling or audit within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation and handling multiple deadlines.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP, preferably S/4HANA.
• Experience using financial reporting systems.
