Strategic Account Manager

About the role

As a Strategic Account Manager you will be responsible for growing AVEVA’s business with new and existing customers in the defined territory. You will lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure, and act as a trusted advisor to C‑level executives across industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and drive regional growth.
• Develop and execute a cross‑portfolio sales strategy using AVEVA Strategic Sales Plays.
• Lead the account team to identify and secure new revenue opportunities, owning the commercial process from inception to closure.
• Create and implement an Account Manager Business Plan with clear strategic and tactical actions.
• Organise all sales activities—from prospecting to closing—in line with the ONE AVEVA framework.
• Maintain compliance with AVEVA’s processes, policies and communication standards.
• Build and nurture C‑level relationships, deepening understanding of customers’ digital initiatives and business drivers.
• Analyse performance against plan, produce monthly reports on account strategy, revenue status and forecasts.
• Maintain a robust customer pipeline and record all activities in AVEVA’s CRM system.

Required profile

• Significant experience in sales and account management, preferably in industrial or software solutions.
• Proven ability to conduct challenging commercial conversations and negotiate complex contracts.
• Strong team‑player mindset with the capacity to lead cross‑functional account teams.
• Excellent analytical skills for forecasting and performance tracking.
• Ability to engage and influence C‑level executives.
