Structural Design Engineer – Military Aircraft

About the role

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to support Airbus Defence and Space’s major military aircraft programmes such as Eurofighter, Eurodrone and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). The role is based in Manching, Germany and offers the chance to contribute to the development and sustainability of flagship defence projects.

Key responsibilities

• Generate 3D models and 2D drawings of aircraft general arrangements and complex structural components.
• Support interface management to ensure seamless integration across subsystems.
• Contribute to Digital Mock‑Up (DMU) maintenance and review processes.
• Develop in‑service repair solutions to maintain operational efficiency and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with a transnational product team to align engineering standards and project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Professional experience with military aircraft structures.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CATIA V5.
• Experience using DDMS / 3DEXPERIENCE platforms.
