Tech Operations Engineer – Automotive Navigation

About the role

Intellias is seeking a Tech Operations Engineer to maintain and support testing of automotive navigation devices. The role combines hardware installation, firmware updates, and on‑site troubleshooting across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and calibrate hardware equipment in labs and vehicles.
• Perform firmware updates, application installations, and coding using CP‑Tool.
• Run manual smoke and sanity tests, record traces, and produce test reports.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on‑site and deliver defective units to the factory.
• Create and maintain project documentation, log work in Jira, and attend daily/weekly briefings.
• Travel to customer sites across Europe as required.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Upper‑intermediate English and an EU driver’s licence (category B).
• Work permit for Germany or EU citizenship.
• Open‑minded, strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Linux/Unix system administration.
• Python and Shell scripting.
• Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi).
• Hardware installation and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with CAN and LIN protocols.
• Familiarity with ODIS, iDEX and CP‑Tool.
